Meet Jeanette

For over 35 years, my family has resided in Chesapeake Beach. My husband and I are proud parents of two children who attended Calvert County schools from kindergarten through graduation. I was an involved parent and school volunteer throughout their academic years here, which sparked my passion for public education. That passion has only grown as I have met so many voters that share my commitment to ensuring every child has a quality education.

As my children grew up, I expanded my volunteering to other community groups and organizations. For the past 10 years, I have been actively involved in many community activities, from collecting food for local food banks to raising money for high school scholarships. In my leisure time, my husband and I enjoy boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.

My career is in contracts management working for a Union Electrical Contractor for the past 25 years. In my role as Contracts Manager, I oversee construction contracts and bidding processes and track conformance to contract specifications. I am adept at reviewing contracts, analyzing investments and costs, resource allocation, bidding processes, and accountability. I have proven skills in consensus building, negotiations, strategic planning, and financial acumen, all necessary for the tasks ahead as a member of the Board of Education.
